Put Your Pants On!

Whenever it is below the temperature of about 30 degrees or so I start to "yell" at kids who get on the bus wearing just a t-shirt, or shorts. If it is 20 below I "yell" at them for not wearing hats and gloves. This story is a 20 above day. A kid gets on my bus wearing shorts. I say some thing like, "What are you thinking it is winter outside put some pants on." No big deal he rides to school gets off the bus etc. That afternoon he climbed on the bus looks at me and said, "You should be wearing shorts." I said, "Umm, nope" What I wanted to say was, "Did it take you all day to think of that?" Unfortunately I was worried about him running home to his parents and complaining so I bit my tongue. Oh and btw yesterday in the 24 below morning I worked on getting buses going for 2 hours and frost bit my nose. First frost bite I have ever had.

More allowance please?

There was about two weeks left before Christmas break. I was driving a route that I have driven fairly often. There is one fourth grader on this route that I haven gotten along with particularly well over the last few years. As we were coming to her stop she asked me, "Ben what is your deepest Christmas wish?" I didn't really know what to say. So I just through out that I wanted a wii. As she got off the bus she looked at me and said, "I don't think my allowance can cover that."
I felt loved.

Tampon Please?!

I was driving a charter for girls softball. On the way home I heard a commotion in the back of the bus. A girl came up and asked for paper towels cause somebody had a bloody nose. I didn't have any. On the way back I heard her asking around for a tampon. When we got back to the school the girl left the bus with the tampon in her nose. Mad props for the permutation of the tampon.
